I've always really enjoyed Pokémon, even though I've only owned one deck of cards, had only one game, and I wasn't able to watch the show very often. Since I have gotten older I have played a few more games on emulators and at friends houses and I felt the urge to  play my old Crystal Version game. Considering that it was my only Pokémon game growing up, I placed a lot of sentimental value with it. Even when I had lost my Gameboy a few years ago, I still held onto that game. It had actually been about 7 years since I played it last. It was only about a month ago when I walked into an old pawn shop and laid my eyes on some Gameboy advances that they were selling. I just had to buy one, I mean, it had been forever since I last played crystal, and I was dying to play it again for old times sake.
Starting up the game after all of those years felt great. I felt like I was a young kid again. I decided that I should just continue from my last save and try to catch all of the pokemon in the game, since I didn't much feel like erasing all of my progress just yet. I found myself standing in the middle of one of the Pokécenters. I wasn't all too concerned with where I was, just what Pokémon I had. After searching through the Pokédex and making a few mental notes  of some of the easier Pokémon to capture, I checked to see what Pokémon I had in my party.
There was this one glitch in Crystal Version where you can clone your Pokémon and whatever they are holding. Well, last time I played, I exploited the hell out of that glitch. My party consisted of 2 Typhlosions, 2 Suicunes, 1 Croconaw (trade), and 1 Charizard (trade), all around level 80. My PC was also filled with an array of clones that I used for trading. When I saw that single Croconaw I got a mischievous grin on my face. I had to see if I could still work my magic. So I walked over to the PC and started up the glitch process. It took me little while to completely remember what to do, so maybe I made a mistake. But anyways, I had everything prepared, and as soon as I begun saving in the PC's deposit box, I turned off the Gameboy and turned it back on. I was excited to see the results. I rushed through the startup, and as soon as I saw my character I started to look for my Croconaw clone. Everything seemed normal, I made space in my pocket by depositing Suicune into the PC and then withdrew my new clone. The only thing that seemed off to me was that it's name was replaced with ???. I decided to take a closer look at my new clone, only to see that the sprite had changed too. Instead of blue, it was a red color. I shrugged it off thinking that maybe it was like the red Gyarados or something. With that I left the Pokécenter and began my quest to catch every Pokémon. After about 30 min. of using Typhlosion I decided to try out my new clone. I walked back and forth through the tall grass when suddenly the screen began to flash and the battle music started up. A Rattatata slid into view, much to my frustration, as my Croconaw did the same, except it no longer was a Croconaw. It was a Typhlosion sprite filled with holes and most of it's colors were blacked out. Once it's name started to write out, it started out with ??? but it didn't stop there. All sorts of characters and symbols began filling the screen, disfiguring the Rattatata sprite and making it impossible to read anything. I began to panic, thinking that it would break my game so I quickly tried to run from the battle. Problem was that I couldn't run, I was stuck. I had no other choice but to fight, so I blindly chose the first move which ended up being water gun and thankfully took out the wild Pokémon in one turn. After that I immediately left for Goldenrod to see the name changer in hopes that I could fix the problem by changing it's name. I gave him the clone, but he just gave it back saying the name was perfect. I was confused. Why would ??? Be perfect? I couldn't help but fear that I was messing my game up in a terrible way. My only choice then was to let the pokemon go, since I couldn't really use it for battle. So I walked over to the Pokécenter and began to let him go but I had a small moment of hesitation. I couldn't help but feel like something was wrong, but I just shrugged it off as irrational. I let go of my clone and it gave a sad distorted cry. At that point I just decided to save and turn the game off. That was enough panic for one game.
A few days later I decided to play again. I started up the game and was ready to start my hunting again. I went to check my Pokémon and fly off to a different city but what I saw almost made me drop my Gameboy. At the bottom of the screen I saw the clone, and just like during the battle, it's name started spawning different characters and symbols that swallowed up the screen. It covered up the other sprites and replaced all of their names with ???. When I looked at my Pokémon's stats, all of them had holes in them and most of their colors were blacked out just like when I used my clone to battle.  Their names, along with being changed to ???, looked like they were glitching out. Random symbols and letters where appearing and disappearing on and around the name along with the stats. I panicked as I went through my party on by one, finally getting down to the clone. The screen began filling up again, but this time the letters began to form words. I read it out loud, "why would you do that to me". I stared down at the screen. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I was afraid, but I felt compelled to continue. I exited the party menu and began to walk around, deciding that maybe I could just continue to catch pokemon. The clone wasn't in the front of my party, so I thought it would just be ok; I could just use my normal pokemon. It's ok if the sprites were messed up. As long as I didn't have to mess with the clone anymore. I walked around in a patch of grass, still feeling a little unnerved, as the battle music and animation started up again. The Pokémon came into view, and to my frustration and fear, the red Croconaw slid into view, again engulfing the screen with it's name. The letters again began to spell out words; "don't you like me". I quickly tried to run from the battle, but just like last time, I couldn't. The letters and symbols rearranged and a new sentence formed. "you created me". I was full of fear and disgust. I rushed through the battle and went straight back to my party. The clone was on top. I selected it and clicked switch, when suddenly the screen twitched and the characters filled up the screen again. "why don't you want me". My fear soon switched to anger. I wasn't going to let this thing win. I selected one of my Typhlosions and switched it out with the clone. Again the screen twitched, and the switch I had made undid itself. The characters switched around again while the screen twitched a few more times. "IF YOU DONT WANT ME YOU CANT HAVE ANYONE". My panic rose again as I watched with every twitch of the screen one Pokémon would disappear. I yelled out to my game, "Stop, stop, stop! What are you doing!" Soon all that was left was the clone. The characters continued to engulf the screen and change around. "now you can just have me". I yelled out again, "What!? No!"
"don't you love me". I felt like I was going to cry. I was so afraid and upset at all that had just happened. The characters started to shift again, slower than usual. "we can be together forever you know" I felt my pulse quicken. This wasn't right. They changed again, slower. " im coming to see you now" My eyes widened and my fear rose. With that I ripped out the cartridge, and just as I was about to throw it, I looked over at it. Tears fell down my face and I screamed as I finally threw it against my brick wall. What I had seen was a dark liquid inside the cartridge, slowly dripping out. I could have sworn I saw it's face.
This is my try at a Pokemon creepypasta. I'm no writer...so this may not be great XI.

Based on actual events that happened to my game.

Woah... I have tons of games from Pokemon but nothing has happened yet even though I constantly hack them.
